Year 11 Parents: Supporting your Child with their GCSE Revision –  Thursday 10th October 7.00pm – 8.30pm

The purpose of the workshop is to explore ways in which you can support your child with their preparation for their GCSE examinations in the summer term and for their mock exams which start on Monday 18th November 2019.

The meeting will be held in the school hall starting at 7.00pm with refreshments served from 6.45pm.  It will last approximately 1 ½ hours. There will be sessions covering themes such as effective strategies for revision and creating a positive environment for learning.

The Park Vale Academy warmly invites Year 6 students and their families to its annual Open Evening on Thursday 3rd October 2019.  There will be a presentation by Mr Bowhay – Headteacher at 6.30 pm followed by an opportunity to tour the school and talk to our staff and students.
Our staff and students are looking forward to meeting you at the Open Evening.

Arrangements for the first day of the new academic year for students:

Tuesday 3 September 2019

As usual, we will have a staggered start for different year groups on the first day back to provide a smooth and organised first morning in school for all students. The start times and locations will be as follows:

Year 7:             Arrive at 8.45am and go directly to the Main Hall

Year 11:             Arrive at 8.45am and go directly to Tutor Rooms

Years 8, 9, 10:    Arrive at 9.45am and go directly to Tutor Rooms

Congratulations to our Year 11 students on their fantastic GCSE results. 

Overall 56% of them achieved 4 and above in both English and Maths while 33% managed grades of 5 and above on the same measure. There have been massive improvements as well in terms of the overall progress made by students at the academy so all credit to them for their hard work and the rewards it has delivered. Enjoy the sweet taste of success PVA Class of 2019!

Year 11 Students will be able to collect their GCSE results from the main hall between 10am and 12pm.
