Stars of education dazzle at Trust employee awards night

Colleagues from across Redhill Academy Trust gathered in style for the first ever Our Trust, Our People: Employee Awards.

The sophisticated surroundings of East Midlands Conference Centre was the perfect setting for the celebrations. Across 12 award categories there were stories of true professionalism, teamwork and dedication to education as each of the 40 nominees received their moment in the spotlight – from teachers and leaders to apprentices, pastoral staff and governors.

The event showcased the superb work and effort that so many of our staff give to support our students every day. Hundreds of nominations were submitted earlier this year by supportive colleagues across our 16 schools, demonstrating the high calibre of staff working across Redhill Academy Trust. The shortlist was then whittled down to 40 and winners decided by a panel of judges.

Opening the proceedings, Trust CEO Andrew Burns said: “This evening we will honour and celebrate the effort, dedication, innovation and accomplishment of our outstanding staff and governors.”

“All of the nominees here tonight should feel extremely proud that they have been recognised by their colleagues for their exceptional achievements.”

European Day of Languages – 26 September 2024

24 Sep 2024

Every year, on 26 September we are celebrating the European day of Languages (EDL). All over the EU, throughout September and October, numerous events are organised to showcase the linguistic richness of Europe as well as to honour and to promote multilingualism and language learning.

The European Day of Languages provides an excellent opportunity to celebrate languages and explore other cultures.

Language learning brings benefits to young and old – you are never too old to learn a language and to enjoy the opportunities it opens up. Even if you only know a few words of the language of the country that you visit (for example on holiday), this enables you to make new friends and contacts.

If you would like to know more about The European Day of Language and take part in more activities and competition see the gallery below:

Good morning,

A reminder that PVA has Year 9 Tutor Reviews Wednesday 2nd October 2024. There will be an early finish for all students at 2.05 pm on this day.

These meetings add to our partnership work with parents in helping to secure outstanding results for students. During the review week all parents and students should attend a 20 minute face to face meeting.

Review meetings are an opportunity for parents to come into the academy to meet with their child’s tutor to discuss their pastoral development and set agreed targets for the year ahead. Later in the year there will also be a subject based parents’ evening where parents will have the opportunity to speak to their child’s subject teachers about their progress in their subjects,
