School Expedition: Ecuador Scuba 2020

COMING SOON – AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR SON/DAUGHTER

As a school, we are very excited to announce that we have chosen to partner with Camps International to offer students in Years 9, 10 and 11 the opportunity to go on a life-changing 4-week expedition to Ecuador during the summer of 2020, incorporating a personal adventure challenge of a PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course.

Congratulations Year 11!

Well done to all of our students in Year 11 on their GCSE success this year which has taken the school’s figure for two grade 4’s and above in both English and Maths from 35% last year to 48% for 2018. Enjoy your success and good luck for the future!

Arrangements for the first day of the new academic year for students:

Wednesday 5 September 2018

As usual, we will have a staggered start for different year groups on the first day back to provide a smooth and organised first morning in school for all students. The start times and locations will be as follows:

Year 7:              Arrive at 8.45am and go directly to the Main Hall

Year 11:             Arrive at 8.45am and go directly to Tutor Rooms

Years 8, 9, 10:    Arrive at 9.45am and go directly to Tutor Rooms

Students collecting their GCSE results on Thursday 23rd of August can do so between 10:00am and 12:00.  Students who are unable to collect their results at this time will be able to collect them in September once the academy re-opens.

Students whose next step is Redhill 6th form:

The next step is to enrol at Redhill as soon as possible. The Redhill Academy is open on results day (Thursday 23rd August) from 9am to 3pm. Enrolment will take place in the Main Hall.

Please make sure you attend enrolment on Thursday 23rd August to confirm your subject choices and collect your welcome pack. 
 
If you are unable to attend enrolment on Thursday 23rd August, please email k.mitchell@theredhillacademy.org.uk to arrange  a suitable time to enrol.

Arrangements for Year 11 Students – Final Weeks

This letter is a summary of key dates and leaving arrangements for Year 11 students as they reach the end of their compulsory education after five years at Park Vale Academy.  As some of the students are intending to stay on for ‘A’ Level studies in the Redhill Sixth Form, dates for Sixth Form Induction sessions are also included.
