Class 2018 Presentation Evening Thursday 28th March 2019

The Academy’s Ex-Year 11 students, our class of 2018, returned to the academy for their presentation evening.  It was a lovely evening, set aside to recognise pupil achievements, many and varied. We celebrated the academic achievements and other broader achievements of our pupils, including social, personal and extra-curricular success. All students were presented with their GCSE examination certificates and congratulated on their achievements.  Additional awards were also presented to celebrate the success of individual students

Year 8 Pathways Evening – Monday 4th March 6 p.m.

Year 8 Options Process , all Year 8 students will be asked to make important choices about subjects that they wish to study in Years 9 to 11. 

This options process is launched this week with an assembly for all Year 8 students and will include several events over the coming weeks. 

ï‚· Year 8 Parents evening – Tuesday 27 February 2019.

 This is a chance for parents to discuss effort, current attainment and predictions with all class teachers. It is a key date in the school calendar for year 8 students and it is essential all students and parents attend. The Parent Evening link from the website is available to make appointments with staff. 

Please contact the school if you are not able to attend or need assistance booking the appointments.

  Year 8 Options Evening – Monday 4th March 2019

During this evening, students and parents will attend a short Options presentation in the Theatre by Mr Bowhay and Mrs Meeks, Assistant Head for Curriculum. This will detail the options process and the subject choices available for students. There will then be some time in the main school to visit the different subjects on offer and speak to our teaching staff and ask questions.

Forms should be completed and returned to the academy by Friday 8th March 2019.

Year 10 Exploring University Together Events

We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming Year 10 Exploring University Together events, held at the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University. Year 10 pupils and their families are invited to attend one of these free events to find out more about the benefits of university. There will be information available on university options, student life and student finance. Staff and Student Ambassadors from both universities will be available at all events to answer any questions you may have. The events at both universities will be identical and a free meal will be included as part of the programme. 

Dates available: Nottingham Trent University  City Centre campus University of Nottingham  University Park campus, Beeston (near QMC) Saturday 9th March: 12pm-2:30pm Wednesday 13th March: 6pm-8.30pm  Wednesday 20th March: 6pm-8:30pm Saturday 16th March: 12pm-2:30pm Saturday 30th March: 12pm-2:30pm Saturday 23rd March: 12pm-2:30pm

If you are successful in gaining a place you will be contacted by email with further event details.
