Y10 CV Writing Workshop – Friday 14th February 2020

People Managers Annette and Farooq worked with all our Year 10 students through a series of interactive and engaging workshops across the day. The CV Writing workshop enhanced our students’ ability to write a compelling CV and also how to tailor their CVs to the requirements of the role.

Annette and Farooq advised students on how to create the perfect CV, sharing with them essential hints and tips on techniques. This interaction with an employer provided our student a valuable opportunity to learn about current employment markets and what interviewers are actually looking for in a candidate.

Our students received constructive feedback at every stage regarding their CV development and the employment and skills that are valued in the workplace (Gatsby Benchmark 5).The session provided an insight to students of the world of work and better prepares them for their mock interviews, work experience and work related learning. A huge thank you to both Annette and Farooq for their work with Park Vale Academy and we look forward to working with them again at the Interview Skills Workshops on 18^th March 2020.
