Work for Isolating Students
26 Jan 2022
Students are not required to self-isolate if they live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, and any of the following apply:
- they are fully vaccinated
- they are below the age of 18 years and 6 months
- they have taken part in or are currently part of an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial
- they are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons
How will my child be taught remotely if they have to self-isolate?
Students should follow their timetable in terms of timings for each subject each day. We use a combination of the following approaches to teach students remotely depending on the numbers isolating:
- Oak National Academy and other nationally recognised online lessons as well as commercially available websites supporting the teaching of specific subjects or areas, including video clips or sequences.
- Additional Independent study will be set on Class Charts in line with student timetables. This may then direct to another website, online platform, textbook or reading book.
- Long-term project work and/or internet research activities.
- Paper based work will be posted home if required.
- Students with limited IT access can request a loan laptop to enable internet access and completion of school work.
