PwC Office Visit Tuesday 26th November 2024

Year 10 students who study Business and Enterprise spent a wonderful day at PwC Derby offices. The day aimed to give the students an introduction to the world of professional work, and PwC as a firm. They were greeted by volunteers from across the business who facilitated their day, and lead them on a tour of the office.

Throughout the visit, students took part in engaging activities to help them understand the kind of work professionals at PwC might undertake. They gained experience  in consultancy, financial literacy and recruitment – all set within an engaging, fun and relevant context. The sessions focused on developing the skills of “Listening”, “Teamwork” and “Problem Solving”  whilst incorporating many other employability skills.

After a break for lunch students heard about recruitment opportunities and routes into the firm. They heard from a variety of staff about the realities of professional work, and the different routes they have taken during their careers.
