Promoting equality, diversity and inclusion is essential for both our teachers and students. The aim is to create a classroom environment where all students can thrive together and understand that individual characteristics make people unique and not ‘different’ in a negative way.

Equality and Diversity

Tolerance and harmony are core values at Park Vale Academy. Students acquire an appreciation of and respect both for their own and other cultures and traditions through the academy’s wider curriculum in tutor time, House activities and assemblies teach students about different religions, and encourage students to discuss and explore concepts such as identity, diversity and community cohesion.
