Dear Parents

The Government has announced the reintroduction of face coverings in communal areas in schools for children in years 7 and above. This will come into effect from Tuesday, 30 November 2021.  Further information regarding this announcement can be found here.

In light of this, we will be requiring all students, unless exempt, to wear face coverings when in communal areas, including when moving between lessons.  At this stage, this advice does not mean that students will be required to wear face coverings in lessons.  We will update you if guidance changes.

We have also been asked to offer testing on return from the Christmas break.  We will write to you later in the week in relation to this and the distribution of home testing kits.  I would like to remind you that weekly testing is very important to keep cases in school low, we will be providing kits again to students later in the week, however, you can order your own easily also from the link here.  We also ask that you continue to record test results both on the government site and on our own tracker form.  All children should be in school as normal, schools remain open as normal.

Please do not contact school with further questions in relation to these areas at this time, we will write to you again as guidance is updated and share this with you.

Yours sincerely

S Bowhay
