All students received an inspiring assembly about I.D.E.A. – Innovate. Demonstrate. Elevate. Advance. Bringing communities forward for sustainable and equitable development.

A significant gender gap has persisted throughout the years at all levels of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines all over the world. Even though women have made tremendous progress towards increasing their participation in higher education, they are still under-represented in these fields. Gender equality has always been a core issue for the United Nations. Gender equality will make a crucial contribution to economic development of the world.

The main thing is to be inspired by the women in science that we admire and look up to. Some female scientists, we see everyday. Did you know ? …take a look at our very own scientists here at Park Vale Academy. Could you be scientist 6 ?

The Sustainable Development Goals are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere. The goals were made by all UN member states in 2015 as a part of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development.
