Our Alumni Network
It’s always wonderful to see the distance you go after leaving us and to welcome you back for events, reunions and to share your stories. It is great for students at the school to be able to see what role models you are. You can make a positive impact by sharing your experiences. We’ve been developing our alumni network and if you haven’t already given us your current details, we’d love to hear from you.
Former students can transform a young person’s confidence, motivation and skills – if you attended Park Vale, inspire a future generation and sign up to our alumni network:
Your experiences since leaving could help to motivate and inspire our current students to feel more confident in making decisions about their future. We’d love you to join our alumni network and stay connected with the school.
You can choose how and when you help – perhaps you can act as a career and education role model, mock interview days, provide work experience, become a mentor in person or online, or help with donations, fundraising or even apply to become a governor.
We are particularly keen to hear from alumni who can help link our subject-related curriculum in the classroom to the world of work/employment. This could include visiting a class and running or supporting a lesson for example.
If you would like to keep in touch about these opportunities please contact: Miss Koppoe – Careers Advisor – a.koppoe@parkvaleacademy.org.uk for an informal discussion. Â
It doesn’t matter when you left us, whether you’re in further education or employment, whether you still live nearby or have moved further away, there are still ways you can help.
In order to sign up, just follow this link and fill in the online form – we promise it will only take a couple of minutes.
Ebony Walker, a former student of Park Vale Academy, is celebrating after being offered a place at the prestigious Oxford University to read History from September 2024.

Ebony left the Academy in 2022, after securing an amazing set of 10 GCSE results which included six grade 9’s in Biology, English Language, English Literature, History, Art & Design and Religious Studies and a further three grade 8’s in Chemistry, Physics and Spanish.
At the Ex-Year 11 presentation evening in March, Ebony also walked away with the much coveted prestigious award for Best GCSE Performance.

Ebony then progressed onto Bilborough College where she studies History, English Literature and Spanish.
Ebony’s success clearly demonstrates that whatever you may be wanting to pursue, whether that be University, College, an apprenticeship, or any other path, keeping your ambitions high, pushing yourself and giving everything 100% will produce results which may surprise you!
Ebony sent messages to the staff at the school saying: ‘I’m very grateful for the time I spent at Park Vale Academy and for the fantastic members of staff- especially the brilliant English department- who always provided close support, pushing us to challenge ourselves and be more confident in our work, and also my tutor – for her ongoing support.’
The staff at PVA themselves are obviously delighted that Ebony has secured a place at Oxford as she really does embody what we stand for as a school. Her hard work and dedication are the key to her success and her willingness to challenge herself to achieve the very highest standards will be an inspiration to current students at the academy. When we first started our journey as Park Vale, the key message we gave to all students was that of high expectations and achievement so Ebony is a shining example of the success of that formula.
Well done Ebony and good luck in the next stage of you exciting journey!
We are very proud of Kacey who has already received two offers at Birmingham (Criminology, Policing and Investigation) and Newcastle (Criminology) in 2022.
